Let Them Eat Cake! is a dance film on girl empowerment, where three teenagers rebel against how society dictates how they see themselves. In Let Them Eat Cake! the three characters transform from being "perfect girls" to agents of change, by embracing who they really are. It is directed by the Choreographer and Filmmaker Avatâra Ayuso, whose previous film 'The Protocol' has received awards all around the world. The film premiered in March 2022 at our Women in Dance Leadership Award ceremony and has also been distributed online. It will now be used as an educational tool in workshops at educational institutions across the UK. Special thanks to our commissioners and our individual donors Zhibo Zhao and Jialong Ma for their trust and commitment to support girls. Below you can watch the 10min film, trailer and some moments of our making off. We hope you enjoy it!
