What are the drop-off and pick-up arrangements?
This is a drop-off event. Upon arrival, you’ll bring your daughter to our Festival Registration Desk, where you’ll meet our team, including our Safeguarding Lead. You’re welcome to take photos together at our festival banner before she joins the rest of the participants. Pick-up will be from the same point between 4:35 and 5:00 pm.
What level of dancing skills is required?
The festival is designed for all abilities. It’s a general-level event, and we’re very aware that teenage girls attending will come with a range of dance experience, from beginners to more trained dancers. Everyone is truly welcome, and we celebrate each girl’s unique journey and expression.
Can I attend on my own?
Yes, absolutely! You’re very welcome to come on your own. There will be plenty of opportunities to connect with other teenage girls just like you—whether through the workshops, performances or simply chatting during breaks.
Our team and volunteers will be there to support you throughout the day, and we’ll make sure everyone feels included from the moment they arrive
I am a parent. Where can I wait for my daughter during the day?
There is on-site parking available, and the Midlands Arts Centre (our venue) has a beautiful park and a café/restaurant—so you’re very welcome to spend the day nearby if you wish.
My English is not very good, can I still attend?
Yes, absolutely! You are very welcome. Our team is made up of people from many different backgrounds, and we will support you throughout the day.
There’s no need to speak perfect English to enjoy the festival—dance, leadership and creativity speak many languages, and we’ll make sure you feel included and comfortable from the moment you arrive.
Can I attend for only part of the day?
You don’t want to miss all we’ve prepared for you! The festival is designed as a full-day experience, with each part building on the last—so we ask that all girls under 18 stay with us for the whole day until they are picked up.
If you are over 18, it may be possible to attend part of the day—just get in touch and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. But believe us when we say—you’ll want to be there until the very end!

We are looking for volunteers based in Birmingham to help us on the day of the Festival.
We have now closed the volunteer application. We are greateful to all those that have appleid and will be there with us. Subscribe to our newsletter to support int he future!
Our volunteers receive free safeguarding training level 1 before the event and DBS check if they don’t previously have one.
