October is a girl power month! On 11th October the world celebrates girls, and we will do the same in the UK. See below information on all of the events we are doing in October to celebrate girls.
IDG exists to raise awareness of the need for girls’ rights, promote and amplify girls’ voices and shed a light on the unique challenges girls and young women face around the world. Adopted by the UNITED NATIONS General Assembly in 2011, International Day of the Girl increases awareness of issues faced by girls around the world.
Do you like dancing? Do you want to increase your confidence and connect with other girls? This commercial dance class led by AWA DANCE will help you dance like nobody’s watching! In a safe space where you can be yourself and learn about becoming a change maker in your own life!
Sunday 18th September, 4pm – 6pm
We are proud to be partnering with Festival of the Girl to celebrate girls aged 7-11 years old. We will be at the festival sharing more about our charity and teaching some super empowering dance! Don’t miss the chance to connect with us and other like minded young people!

If you are 12-16 years old, save Thursday 27th October to connect with like minded girls and women.
Join us for our weekly online Leadership Breakfasts where you will get the chance to network with like minded women as well as attend informative workshops designed to boost your confidence. Each Leadership Breakfast session will account for at least two hours of CPD. They will be delivered by our Director Avatâra Ayuso and other inspiring and knowledgable guest speakers (check the link below). Three sessions will take place online via Zoom with the final session taking place in person for the first time! All you need is your breakfast, cup of coffee and a notepad!
November (online): Thursday 10, 17th and 24th 9-11am
December (in person): Saturday 3rd 10-4.30pm
